Call it fate, destiny, luck or just chance. Who knows why things might happen a certain way and in this book 4 minutes can change your everything. Hadley has a problem. She has to attend her father's wedding in London. She still hasn't forgiven him for leaving her mother and their family and hasn't seen him in over a year. Everything seems to go wrong and if things couldn't get any worse in her day she misses her flight by 4 minutes and that changes everything. She meets a cute brit boy Oliver also headed to London and in talking to him opens up in ways she hasn't before. It is a chance meeting but quickly they fall into a rhythm like they've know each other for much longer. Over the coarse of the plane ride they really connect. In connecting with Oliver, Hadley is able to see how her life could be different. How going to a wedding might not be the worst thing in the world.I loved how real this story seemed. It wasn't about just meeting someone and falling for them. It is about Hadley learning that love can change everything. Her anger over the divorce of her parents, blaming her dad for his part in wrecking her family. Learning that when you fall in love you sometimes leap without thinking first of anything or anyone else. In just 24 hours Hadley's life changes forever Hadley changes and it might have been completely different if it wasn't for just 4 minutes. There is a cute beginning of a love story in this book. But it is more than that. It is a book also of forgiveness, second chances, hurt, guilt and love.
